Opens September 25, 2020.
Pick a pumpkin from our “Pick Your Own” patch.
We grow a nice variety of colors, shapes, and sizes.
We hope you’ve had the chance of taking little ones to a pumpkin patch to choose their own pumpkin. There’s nothing quite like watching them wander through a field of pumpkins, wheels in their head turning, as they debate and consider the virtues of each one.
In our experience, each child seems to have a different criteria for the perfect pumpkin… There are those that go for the roundest, most orange specimen. But plenty of others look for tallest, bumpiest, greenest, whitest, or even (and we’re not making this up) “witchy-est” face.
In pumpkin patches, as in life, perfection can be found almost anywhere, it all depends on what says “perfection” to you. ???????
You can purchase the tiny ones for pie-making and small decorations, and weigh the large ones for porch decorations and jack-0-lanterns, both at competitive prices-per-pound. ONLY visitors who purchase a wristband will be allowed in the Pumpkin Patch, as it is unique and maintained as one of the attractions here at the Farm.
***If all you want is a pumpkin or a photo, the lowest ticket price is the Corn Maize & Farmland Admission ($10).***
Our patch is open Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-9:00pm and Fridays & Saturdays Noon-9:00pm.
Expect to find the best pumpkins early in the season. Expect to find dry vines and very few pumpkins near Halloween.
Tip: Those who visit early in the season (near the end of September) will have the best pick of pumpkins still “on the vine”. Later on, you’ll still see the vines, but the pumpkins are pre-cut (and very big!).
We thank the participants of our “Adopt a Row” program this year. If the patch looks extra nice, they are the reason, and we wish them all a “Happy Pumpkin Season!”
Shop early for best selection!
We thank our Farm visitors for posting their “Pumpkin Patch” photos online, using #stahelifamilyfarm or #sff. We’d love to see more of YOUR photos!
