Adventure Starts With Safety
A signed Release & Consent Form is required for all students prior to attending their field trip. This form must be completed by a parent or guardian to ensure participation and confirm acknowledgement of activity guidelines and safety requirements.

How long is the field trip?
Our educational field trips typically last about 2 hours, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and include time for a snack or lunch break. Your class will rotate through a variety of hands-on educational activities designed to keep students engaged from beginning to end.
How are your field trips organized?
Our field trips are organized by grade level and age group to provide an engaging, age-appropriate learning experience. Activities are designed to complement classroom learning while giving students the opportunity to explore agriculture through hands-on experiences.
Will our class have the farm to ourselves?
Your class may share the farm with another school group during your visit. Our schedule is carefully organized so each class has time at every activity without feeling crowded, ensuring a structured and enjoyable experience for all students.
How much does a field trip cost?
Field trip admission is $5 per student. Designated parent chaperones are also $5 per person, while all teachers and school staff attend free of charge.
Do teachers have to pay?
No. Teachers and school staff are admitted free as our guests in appreciation of their work in education.
How many parent chaperones may attend?
Each class may bring up to two designated adult parent chaperones to assist teachers with supervising students throughout the field trip. If additional supervision is needed, please contact us in advance so we can review options.
Can siblings or babies attend the field trip?
No. To maintain a safe and focused learning environment, field trips are reserved for registered students, teachers, school staff, and approved parent chaperones only. Siblings and babies are not permitted during school field trips.
Where should our bus arrive?
Please have your bus driver enter through the northernmost entrance of the North Parking Lot. Our staff will greet your class, direct the bus to the unloading area, and assist with arrival. Buses may remain parked in the North Parking Lot during the visit.
What if our bus is running late?
If your bus is delayed, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to adjust your schedule so students can still enjoy as much of their field trip as time allows.
How can I contact Staheli Family Farm if I have questions?
Your confirmation email includes all contact information. You may reply directly or call us anytime for assistance.
What should students wear?
Students should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable clothing that can get a little dirty while exploring the farm. We recommend closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and sunscreen or a hat when needed.
What should students bring?
Students should bring a refillable water bottle and any snack or lunch instructed by their teacher. Personal belongings should be labeled whenever possible.
Is drinking water available?
We no longer have a public drinking fountain on the farm. Students should bring refillable water bottles. Water refill stations are available during the visit.
Will we be outdoors?
Yes. Most of the field trip takes place outdoors as students explore the farm and participate in hands-on activities. Students should be prepared for walking on natural farm terrain.
Are restrooms available?
Yes. Restrooms are available throughout the farm for students, teachers, and chaperones during the visit.
What about food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Students should bring their own lunch or follow their school’s arrangements. Each school is responsible for managing food allergies and dietary restrictions.
What happens if it rains?
Field trips are held rain or shine when possible. If severe weather creates unsafe conditions, we will work with schools to reschedule. If weather is uncertain, we will communicate as early as possible.
How far in advance should I reserve a field trip?
We recommend reserving as early as possible. Field trips are offered in Fall and Spring, and popular dates fill quickly.
How do I reserve a field trip?
Reservations are made through our online booking form. If internet access is not available, schools may contact us directly for assistance.
Can we change our student count after booking?
Yes. Please notify us as soon as possible so we can prepare appropriately.
Do you offer field trips for homeschool or microschool groups?
Yes. We host Homeschool Days on select Fridays throughout the season for homeschool and microschool families. These groups attend on dedicated days rather than joining traditional school field trips.

NOTICE: Parent chaperones are welcome and appreciated. To ensure a positive experience for all participants, we ask that each class bring no more than 2–3 parent volunteers. For the safety and supervision of all guests, minor children and siblings may not attend with parent chaperones. Groups may be scheduled together based on attendance and group size.
