Summer Farm Camp

May 14, 2010

It’s an “AG-venture”  where your child will learn the daily tasks of a real farmer. They will learn to feed and care for farm animals, plant a garden and care for the land.  Best of all, they will learn how working together can be fun and rewarding. This is a hands on experience full of opportunities your child will never forget.

Some of the “ventures” for the week include learning to saddle a horse, riding, and cleaning stalls.  They will get a tractor ride!  One day is spent at the pond, learning the life cycle of a frog, and catching tadpoles.  (This is a Kid Favorite!)  Kids will also enjoy home-grown snacks each day — they will make homemade bread AND butter, gather eggs … and more.  On the final day of Farm Camp, they will prepare a meal for their parents from foods grown on the farm.
